Gwendolyn Jensen Athletic Hall of Fame
During her four year career at Wilson, she amassed a number of awards and twice as many statistical records. At the national level, she was selected as 2003 Division III All- American Honorable Mention, and elected to the 2003 Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference(ECAC) Women’s Southern Basketball All-Star Second Team.
In addition, D3Hoops.com announced Zimmerman as a member of the second team Atlantic All-Region team. Zimmerman was also selected as the 2003 Senior Athlete of the Year for Wilson College. Zimmerman concluded her basketball career with 2060 points and 1205 rebounds, setting Wilson College records in both categories.
She averaged 20.2 points and 13 rebounds per game during her 4-year career. She started every game of her career,
averaging 38.3 minutes a game and has amassed more playing time than anyone at Wilson College. Zimmerman was selected to the Atlantic Women’s Colleges Conference (AWCC) All-Conference first team every year and currently holds the conference career record for scoring and rebounding.
During her senior year, she led the AWCC in scoring. Overall, she averaged 23.4 points per game ranking her 3rd in NCAA Division III and 11.9 rebounds per game ranking her 13th in the nation. Zimmerman also holds the conference individual game highs for the 2003 season in scoring - 34 points, blocks – 9, and field goal percentage - .764%.
