Phoenix Women’s Basketball Falls To Bryn Athyn

Box Score Bryn Athyn, Pa. – The Phoenix women's basketball team dropped a conference contest to Bryn Athyn College this evening, 90-39.
 
The opposing Lions posted a 2-12 run in the first three minutes of the game, setting the tone.  Turnovers and cold shooting hurt the Phoenix in the first half, as the Lions were able to capitalize on more possessions.  Wilson struggled at the backboards as well, unable to snatch rebounds consistently.  The Phoenix trailed 56-20 at the half.  
 
Bryn Athyn continued to pile on the points in the second half, grabbing more steals and successfully driving the ball in the paint.  The Lions outscored the Phoenix 34-19 in the half, taking the game comfortably.  Wilson totaled 34 turnovers in the game and recorded a 19.1 field goal percentage (9-of-47).  Bryn Athyn was 40-of-88 (45.5%) in field goals and tallied 20 steals. 
 
Teniera Prioleau and Miranda Long each scored nine points, topping the Phoenix offense.  Bryn Athyn was led by Brittany Vick's 19 points.  Four Lions finished the game with double digit scoring. 
 
Wilson will host Penn State Abington on Thursday, January 8 at 1:00 p.m.
