Lions Defeat Phoenix in Home Conference Game

Box Score Chambersburg, Pa. – The Phoenix women's basketball team suffered a 78-46 loss against Bryn Athyn College at home on January 27.

Nineteen turnovers in the first half left the Phoenix chasing a significant Bryn Athyn lead. Wilson shot 32.0 percent (8-of-25) from the floor and was 4-of-10 from the free throw line. The team struggled to maintain ball control against the Lions. The Lions pressed the Phoenix causing them to fight for control on their possessions. The Lions led the Phoenix, 38-20, at the close.

Bryn Athyn took the game away from the Phoenix in the second half as they scored an additional 40 points. Wilson was not able to manufacture a comeback as they played defensively. The Lions shot 16-40 from the floor in the half as the Phoenix shot 34.8 percent (8-of-23) from the floor.

Teniera Prioleau finished the game with 12 points for the Phoenix offense. Morgan Wonders contributed with 10 points.

Wilson will host Lancaster Bible College on Friday, January 30 at 5:00 p.m. for a conference game.
