(BELLEFONTE, Pa.) – The Wilson equestrian Western team was back in the saddle this weekend in a pair of shows hosted by Penn State on Saturday. Once again the Phoenix had some outstanding results with third place team finishes in both events. Individually
Rachel Bardsley (So., Palmyra, Pa.) and
Julie Warnick (Jr., New Oxford, Pa.) both qualified for regionals as well.
Bardsley did so in Rookie B while also pointing out after she finished first in the morning session. Warnick qualified in reining after placing fourth during both morning and afternoon shows.
Judi Wolf (Jr., Sykesville, Md.) had a consistent day overall with three third place finishes across both shows. In the morning she received the first of those finishes in Level 2 Horsemanship. She repeated the result later that afternoon and also jumped up one placement in ranch riding for the other.
Maddie Cramer (FY, Orrtanna, Pa.) also had a strong finish as she was runner-up in Rookie B Horsemanship.
Other notes of interest from the shows included
Adaira Decker (So., Kearneysville, W.Va.) debuting in Rookie B, as well as both
Amanda Nuss (FY, Mainesburg, Pa.) and
Hayden Sturgeon (Jr., Clymer, Pa.) debuting in Rookie A.
