(BELLEFONTE, Pa.) – The Wilson College Western team was back in the saddle with its first shows of the spring semester at Eagle Valley Equestrian Center on Saturday. The Phoenix picked up where they left off in the fall and brought home reserve high point team honors for the morning event before a third place finish in the afternoon.
Rachel Bardsley and
Hayden Sturgeon highlighted the day as both took first place honors. Bardsley received the blue ribbon for Level 2 Horsemanship in the morning while Sturgeon won first in Rookie A in the afternoon.
Julie Warnick and
Maddie Cramer received second place honors in reining and Level 1 Horsemanship, respectively. Warnick added a third place in open horsemanship while Cramer added a third in Level 1 in the afternoon.
Mahala Holland added a third place finish in Rookie B in the afternoon as well.
Penn State was named the champion high point team for both shows. Delaware Valley was named the reserve high point team in the afternoon.
