(CHAMBERSBURG, Pa.) – Julie Warnick (Sr., New Oxford, Pa.) already has a storied career at Wilson. Now she has another feather in the proverbial cap as she was named the reserve high point rider for the first time in her career as the Phoenix Western equestrian team hosted a pair of shows to open the year at Hawthorne Arena Saturday.
Warnick took home a pair of blue ribbons in reining, was the reserve rider in open horsemanship during the morning show, and was third in open horsemanship during the afternoon.
Her efforts helped the Blue and White be named the reserve high point team in the morning while finishing third in the nightcap.
Other standouts in the opening show included
Rachel Bardsley (Jr., Palmyra, Pa.), Maddie Cramer (So., Orrtanna, Pa.), and
Lizzy Dillon (FY, Shelocta, Pa.). Bardsley finished first in Level 1, while Dillon took first in Rookie B in her collegiate debut and Cramer was second in Rookie B.
In the afternoon, Bardsley took another top placing in Level 1. Cramer and Dillon tied for second in Rookie B.
Savannah Benz (FY, Orrstown, Pa.) added a second place ribbon in Beginner.
Avery Kellum (FY, Lititz, Pa.) took third in Ranch Riding.
