(MILL SPRING, N.C.) – The Wilson Western equestrian team capped one of its best seasons in program history with two riders placing and one horse winning at the national championships.
Rachel Bardsley (Jr., Palmyra, Pa.) turned in the top result among riders with a third-place finish in Level 1 Horsemanship. It's the second top three finish in program history.
The other belongs to
Julie Warnick (Sr., New Oxford, Pa.) who was also competing. Although she came up short in adding another national championship, she still brought home a ribbon with a ninth-place finish in reining.
Wilson was once again asked to bring three horses for participation at the national championships, and for the third consecutive year the Phoenix have a national champion horse. This year Nota received top honors for the second time.
