(CHAMBERSBURG, Pa.) – After weather canceled Monday's round, the Wilson men's golf team competed in Lancaster Bible's Pull The Pin Invitational for a single round on Tuesday. The Phoenix finished 10th in a field of 13 with
Junchen Huang (Jr., Taiwan / Veritas Meihua) leading the way for the Blue and White.
Huang opened the day extremely well with pars on five of the first seven holes. The back nine started out strong as well with a pair of birdies before he finished with an 11-over 82 to tie for 32nd in the individual standings.
Cole Cooper (FY, Virginia Beach, Va. / Salem) was second for the Phoenix with an 86. He parred five holes and ended the day with a birdie.
Brady Curran (FY, Frederick, Md. / Linganore) carded an 88 and
Robert Sturgeon (FY, Goldvein, Va. / Liberty) finished with a 91 to complete the team score of 347 for Wilson.
Rob Kozicki (Sr., Camp Hill, Pa. / Camp Hill) was the team's fifth and scored a 93.
The Phoenix finished one stroke ahead of Lebanon Valley. They also defeated Penn State Abington and Lancaster Bible's B squad as well. Albright won the event with a 294.
Wilson will finish the fall portion of the season on Monday, October 27, at the LVC Dutchmen Invitational played at the Lebanon Country Club.
