(SCHWENCKSVILLE, Pa.) – The Wilson equestrian Western team competed in its final shows of the fall semester in a couple of events hosted by DelVal on Saturday. Between the two, the Phoenix took home three first play ribbons and had one rider point out and qualify for regionals.
A pair of first place finishes came in the morning show with
Rachel Bardsley (So., Palmyra, Pa.) and
Adaira Decker (So., Kearneysville, W.Va.). Bardsley was the top placer in Rookie B while Decker was first in Rookie A.
Other highlights of Saturday's opener came in Level I Horsemanship as
Regina Snyder (Jr., Corsica, Pa.) finished second.
Chloe Kelley (FY, Taneytown, Md.) also won third in Beginner Horsemanship.
Bardsley wasn't done as she went 2-for-2 on the day with a first place finish in Rookie B once again.
Mahala Holland (FY, Glen Burnie, Md.) added a third place ribbon to the Phoenix haul as well.
Julie Warnick (Jr., New Oxford, Pa.) and Decker added third place ribbons in open reigning and Rookie A Horsemanship as well.
Once the dust settled,
Hayden Sturgeon (Jr., Clymer, Pa.) pointed out of Beginner Horsemanship during the afternoon show. As a result, she has now qualified for regionals.

The Phoenix will ride again next semester when they travel to Logan, New Jersey, for shows hosted by Rutgers at Dream Park .
