CHAMBERSBURG, Pa- The Wilson College baseball team faced off against Colonial States Athletic Conference opponent Saint Elizabeth University today in a doubleheader. The Phoenix (21-8, 8-2 CSAC) earned both wins against the Eagles (12-16, 5-3 CSAC) with final scores of 4-0 in game one and 18-6 in game two.
Game One: The first two innings of the game passed by quickly with neither team finding a run. In the bottom of the third inning, the Wilson offense started firing. Fifth-yearÂ
KJ Curry (Bowie, MD., Coker University)Â hit a single to left field allowing freshmanÂ
Doc Daniels (Deal Island, MD, Crisfield HS) to reach home plate. Shortly after, a triple by juniorÂ
Michael Marrale (Sykesville, MD, Old Dominion Univ.)Â brought home Curry and seniorÂ
Brandon Cook (Glen Burnie, MD., Shepherd University)Â closing out the third inning ahead 3-0. The score remained 3-0 until the bottom of the eighth inning when Cook earned another run after a hit from sophomoreÂ
Haden Hoff (Westminster, MD, Fairmont State Univ.). The Phoenix closed out the game on top with a final score of 4-0.Â

Cook was the top scorer for the Phoenix finishing game one with two runs.Â
Marrale led the team with RBIs after earning two RBIs on one hit. The Phoenix ended game one with four runs, five hits, and one error while the Eagles finished with zero runs, four hits, and no errors.Â
Game Two:Â Saint Elizabeth set the tone for game two starting the game with a home run in the first inning to take an early 1-0 lead. Wilson tied the game at 1-1 with a walk when bases were loaded in the bottom of the second. The Eagles found another home run in the top of the fourth that brought the score to 3-1. The Phoenix tied the game at three apiece off a double from sophomoreÂ
Brady Andre (Brookeville, MD, Sherwood HS)Â bringing home
Gerald Buchanan (Olney, MD, Montgomery CC (MD)) and
 Marrale. Wilson ended the bottom of the fifth inning up 5-3 with three innings remaining. In the top of the seventh inning, the Eagles were able to tie the game at five however, the Phoenix responded quickly earning three runs in the bottom of the seventh to improve their lead to 8-5. The eighth inning seals the deal for the Phoenix after Saint Elizabeth could only gain one run, while the Wilson offense showed out with ten runs to bring the game to its final score of 18-6.

Michael Mcgee (Frederick, MD., Thomas Johnson)Â had six RBIs for his four hits in the game leading the team followed by Andre with three RBIs. Wilson finished game two with 18 runs, 19 hits, and no errors while Saint Elizabeth ended with six runs, 11 hits, and two errors.Â
