Rosemont Rises Over Phoenix

Box Score BRYN MAWR, Pa. - The Wilson College men's soccer team traveled earlier this afternoon to face off against conference opponent Rosemont College. The Ravens ended on top of the Phoenix with a final score of 8-0.

How It Happened: The first half was heavily controlled by the Ravens offense with the Ravens scoring their first goal within four minutes of kick-off. From there, the Rosemont offense kept coming scoring their second goal at 12 minutes extending their lead to 2-0. The Ravens continued to expand their lead as they went into the half with a score of 4-0.  Vincent Natale (Mt. Airy, Maryland, Linganore High School) had four saves in the first half of the competition. In the second half, the Rosemont offense continued to come at the Phoenix defense and would score three goals within the first three minutes of play.  In the 86th minute, the Ravens secured their final score of the game to end the game with a final score of 8-0.

Inside the Box Score: Wilson played the majority of the game in their defensive half, finishing with just one offensive chance coming off a corner kick. The goal-keeping duo of Vincent Natale and Billy Merk (Macungie, PA, Lehigh Carbon Community College) combined for seven saves against 16 shots.
