ROSEMONT, Pa. - The Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) has announced its 2019 Field Hockey End of Year Awards and four Wilson College field hockey team members earned All-CSAC honors. Juniors
Jenna Carty (Chambersburg, PA., Greencastle-Antrim) and
Michaela Singer (Annville, PA, Annville-Cleona) earned first-team honors, freshman
Alexis Pflumm (Camden, Del. , Caesar Rodney) earned second-team honors, junior
Krista Nayadley (Hampton, VA, Hampton) earned honorable mention honors and junior
Bethany Comp (Millerstown, PA., Greenwood) earned all-sportsmanship honors.
Carty, a first-team honoree, was previously earned All-Conference honors last year. She was a defensive force this season while tallying one goal, two assists, and four points this season.
Singer, also a first-team honoree, was named to the First-Team last year as well. She was the leading goal scorer for the Phoenix this season and she totaled 14 goals, three assists, and 31 points on the season. She also finished third in the CSAC in shots, shots on goal, and goals.
Pflumm, a second-team selection, is a first-time selection to the All-Conference team. She went on to finish the 2019 season with three goals and a total of six points on the year. She also led the conference in assists this year, while finishing ninth in shots and tenth in shots on goal.
Nayadley, an honorable mention selection, is making her first appearance to the honorable mention list. She served as goalie this year and finished with 86 saves for a save percentage of 79.6%. She also led the conference with the lowest goals allowed average, second in saves, third in shutouts per game.
Comp, an all-sportsmanship honoree, is making her second straight appearance on the all-sportsmanship list.
These awards include first-team, second-team and honorable mention All-CSAC, All-Sportsmanship, Player of the Year, Defender of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Coach of the Year, and the 3-D Award. The student-athletes were selected to their respective squads by the conference's ten head coaches, who were not permitted to vote for their players.
