(LATHAM, N.Y.) – The Wilson Phoenix men's soccer team has been ranked ninth in the 2026 United East Preseason Poll, receiving a total of 33 points. This annual poll is a collaborative effort among head coaches within the conference with each coach abstaining from voting for their own team.
St. Mary's College of Maryland claimed the top position, gathering 116 points and securing seven first-place votes. Following closely, Penn State Harrisburg took the second spot with 109 points and three first-place votes, while Penn State Abington captured third place with 96 points and remaining two first-place votes. Penn College and Lancaster Bible College rounded out the top five with 86 and 83 points, respectively.
The rest of the field includes Cairn University in sixth place with 78 points and Notre Dame of Maryland University in seventh with 68 points. Penn State Berks is eighth with 50 points, followed by Wilson in ninth with 33 points. Keystone College, Penn State Brandywine, and Gallaudet University complete the rankings.
The Phoenix are set to launch their 2026 campaign with a season opener against Bridgewater College on Wednesday, September 2. Soon after, the Blue and White will host their first home game on the newly installed artificial turf at Kris's Meadow on Wednesday, September 9, against Goucher.
Looking ahead, Wilson will begin its United East conference play at home against Keystone College on Saturday, September 26.
