Williams Named United East Offensive Player of the Week

(LATHAM, N.Y.) - The United East has announced its Players of the Week for the week ending on October 20, 2025, and Wilson's Jace Williams (Jr., Chesapeake, Va. / Hickory) has received honors for men's soccer. The junior forward earned offensive accolades after he scored three goals and an assist to lead the Phoenix to an unbeaten week.

Williams opened the week by scoring a hat trick against Penn State Brandywine in a must-win game on Wednesday. He scored the first of those in the 20th minute, the second in the 56th, and the third in the 84th. The feat gives him seven goals on the year and puts him one away from the program's career record.

Saturday saw Williams set up Lenin Cinco (Jr., Chantilly, Va. / Westfield) for the equalizing goal in the 77th minute at Valley Forge which gave the Blue and White a pivotal point in the conference standings. Williams took possession of the ball on the right side of the box. As his teammates crashed the net, he was able to center it perfectly where Cinco awaited and flicked it in flawlessly just inside the left post.

This marks the first weekly United East award of Williams' career.

Williams and the Phoenix enter the final week of the regular season tied with Penn State Brandywine for the last playoff spot for the United East Championship. They'll return to action Tuesday afternoon when they host Notre Dame at 2. Wilson will then entertain Penn State Abington in the regular season finale on Saturday at 1 p.m.
