(SELINGSGROVE, Pa.) – The Wilson men's golf team wrapped up its final two events before hosting the United East Championship next weekend. The Phoenix opened up the week at the Conquer The Island tournament at the Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort before playing in Susquehanna's spring invitational.
Tuesday's weather played havoc on every team's scores and as a result Wilson finished 16th with a total of 385.
Junchen Huang (So., Taiwan / Veritas Meihua International) led the squad with a 94, followed by
Tristan Worlock (Sr., DeRuyter, N.Y. / DeRuyter Central) with a 96 and
Rob Kozicki (Jr., Camp Hill, Pa. / Camp Hill) with a 97.
Bryson Curtis (So., Fairfax, Va. / Oakton) and
Joe Ziercher (FY, Berryville, Va. / Clarke County) both carded a 98.
Thursday's event at Susquehanna featured much better results as the Phoenix finished 10th with a 364, defeating Lycoming and Eastern in the process.
Worlock paced the Blue and White with an 87, followed by Huang's 89. Kozicki scored a 93 and Curtis completed the team score with a 95. Ziercher added a 103 as the fifth player.
The Phoenix will conclude the year at next week's conference championships in at the Chambersburg Country Club on Friday and Saturday.
