(LIMERICK, Pa.) – The Wilson men's golf team was back in action as it played in the Spring Awakening hosted by Ursinus on Thursday. The event was played at the Turtle Creek Golf Club and holds a yardage of 6,683. The Phoenix finished ninth with a team score of 358 in the nine-team event.
Fresh off a five-set win in the United East men's volleyball semifinals,
Rob Kozicki (Jr., Camp Hill, Pa. / Camp Hill) led the way for the Blue and White with an 84 on the day. He parred half the course with four on the front and five on the back. He finished tied for 28th individually.
Tristan Worlock (So., DeRuyter, N.Y. / DeRuyter Central) followed with an 89 and had the most birdies on the team with two. The first came on Hole 5 with another on 12. He added pars on five holes.
Junchen Huang (So., Taiwan / Veritas Meihua International) was third on the team with a 90 with one birdie on Hole 8 and pars on six holes.
Bryson Curtis (So., Fairfax, Va. / Oakton) completed the team score with a 95.
Joe Ziercher (FY, Berryville, Va. / Clarke County) played as the fifth member on the squad and carded a 103.
Drew won the team event with a 295. Elliot Parker of Drew was the medalist with a round of 71.
The Phoenix will compete next in the Conquer The Island tournament in Delaware, Pa., at Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort on Tuesday.
