(STATE COLLEGE, Pa.) – The Wilson men's golf team returned to the links this weekend as it played in the Pennsylvania Classic hosted by Penn State Altoona on Saturday and Sunday. The Phoenix finished 17th with a total of 737 and a five-stroke improvement from the first two the second round.
Rob Kozicki (Jr., Camp Hill, Pa. / Camp Hill) turned in the top score for the Blue and White as he totaled a 179. He opened with a 90 on Saturday before improving to an 89 on Sunday's final round.
Tristan Worlock (So., DeRuyter, N.Y. / DeRuyter Central) was right behind him with a 183. He shot a 94 in the opening round before a five-stroke improvement on Sunday.
Junchen Huang (So., Taiwan / Veritas Meihua International) totaled a 187 between a 95 and 92.
Bryson Curtis's (So., Fairfax, Va. / Oakton) second outing saw him score a 189 with a 93 and 96 to complete the team scoring.
Joseph Ziercher (FY, Berryville, Va. / Clarke County) completed the quintet with a 191 on a 94 and 97.
Allegheny won the event with a 581. Washington & Jefferson was second at 591. The event was played at Penn State University's Blue Course.
Wilson returns to the greens next weekend in the Cardinal Spring Classic hosted by Catholic at the Black Rock Golf Course in Hagerstown.
