Western Finishes Third, Warnick Rides On To Semis

(LITTLESTOWN, Pa.) – The Wilson equestrian Western team competed in the regional championships and came away with a third place finish, while Julie Warnick (Jr., New Oxford, Pa.) won the reserve championship and qualified for the semifinals.

As a team, the Phoenix took third behind regular season champion DelVal and second place Penn State.

Warnick won her event in reining to qualify for the semifinals in two weeks. She ended the regular season as the fourth place high point rider.

Elsewhere Judi Wolf (Jr., Sykesville, Md.) and Adaira Decker (So., Kearneysville, W.Va.) showcased third place finishes. Wolfe brought home her ribbon in Level One Horsemanship while Decker did so in Beginner.

Warnick will ride again at the semifinals which takes place Friday, March 14, through Sunday, March 16, in Logan Township, New Jersey.
