(CARLISLE, Pa.) – Weather derailed the original plans for the Wilson men's golf team as the originally scheduled tournament was postponed. Instead the Phoenix made the short trek up I-81 to compete in the Dickinson College Fall Invitational on Saturday.
The competition was tough as the Blue and White went up against competition from not just the usual suspects, but from schools representing Division I and Division II as well.
Still, the Phoenix braved the elements of the cold and rain to finish with a team score of 353 to finish 15th.
Dylan Skeele (Jr., DeRuyter, N.Y. / DeRuyter Central) turned in the top individual performance with an 85, tying two others for 58th.
The team was close in scoring as
Ben Metz (Jr., Denver, Pa. / Garden Spot) just one stroke behind Skeele with an 86.
Yuchen Huang (FY, Taiwan / Veritas Meihua International) was third for the Phoenix with an 89.
Collin Bitler (Sr., Frederick, Md. / Thomas Johnson) rounded out the team score with a 93.
Tristan Worlock (FY, DeRuyter, N.Y. / DeRuyter Central) was the fifth member of the team and carded a 98.
Division II Millersville won the team event with a 288.
Wilson will wrap up the fall season a week from Monday at the Lebanon Valley Fall Invitational.
