FREDERICK, Md- The Wilson College men's soccer team hit the road for a nonconference battle with Hood College. After the full 90 minutes, the Phoenix and the Blazers ended up in a stalemate with a final score of 0-0.
How It Happened: The Phoenix started the game with three shots within the first 10 minutes with two shots from
Ryder Wallace (Jim Thorpe, PA., Jim Thorpe) and one from
Brandom Rios (Carolina, Puerto Rico, Colegio Bautista De Carolina). Wilson had seven shots in the first half but could not find the back of the net.
Jorge Cortez (Columbia, TN, Spring Hill High School) had the first shot of the second half for either side. Despite being outshot by the Blazers, the Phoenix defense held firm to close out the game with a tie.

Billy Merk (Macungie, PA, Lehigh Carbon Community College) finished the game with a total of six saves. Senior
Ryder Wallace led the team with three shots.
Jorge Cortez, Aidan Diem, and Dylan Youmans followed suit with two shots apiece. Wilson ended the game with 12 shots to the Blazers' 27 shots.
