(LATHAM, N.Y.) – For the second consecutive time, Wilson's
Cole Cooper has been named the United East Golfer of the Week. The sophomore Phoenix linkster received the honor after he finished second in the Penn State Mont Alto Invitational last Wednesday.
Cooper turned in a round of 75, three over par, at Penn National Golf Course to receive the runner-up medalist honors behind only Penn State Mont Alto's Jacob Bassham who was playing on his home course. Cooper's score also helped the Phoenix finish fourth in the event with a 332, their best round of the young season.
Cooper and the Phoenix will be back on the links this weekend when they play in the Cardinal Fall Classic hosted by Catholic University at the Black Rock Golf Course in Hagerstown on Saturday and Sunday.
