(ALTOONA, Pa.) – The Wilson men's golf team took part in the penultimate event of the fall portion of the season as it played in the Sinking Valley Collegiate Classic over the weekend.
Cole Cooper (So., Virginia Beach, Va. / Salem), Brandon Burt (FY, Collegeville, Pa. / Cambridge Matignon), and
Gavin Pietras (FY, Mardela, Md. / Mardela) represented the Phoenix with Cooper finishing the best amongst the trio.
Cooper opened the weekend with a 6-over 78 and followed up with an 82 in Sunday's final round. The 160 overall placed him in a tie for 17th in the individual standings with Jack Kelly-Lyons from Moravian and Louie Van de Velde from Mount Aloysius.
Burt was next for the Blue and White and finished with a two-round total of 183 to finish 44th. Pietras was 48th after carding a 198.
The Phoenix will conclude the fall semester with the Lebanon Valley Fall Invitational on Monday, October 26.
