(LATHAM, N.Y.) – For the second time this season, Wilson's
Jackson Wolfe (So., Abbottstown, Pa. / New Oxford) has been named United East Player of the Week. However, this time it's for his offensive abilities as opposed to his defensive skills after leading the Phoenix in a pair of close contests against Widener and Eastern.
Between the two, Wolfe totaled 36 kills while hitting .313 against the Pride and Eagles. He added another kill in one set of limited time in a win at Hood on Saturday.
He opened the week with 19 kills while hitting .311 in a home match with Widener. The Phoenix took them the distance, before falling in the fifth. Wolfe followed up with 17 kills on neutral grounds against the Eagles at Hood. The Blue and White took the first set, but narrowly missed out on going five after losing the fourth by two.
Wolfe now has exactly 100 kills on the season and is No. 40 nationally in points per set with 3.92. He also has Wilson placed in the top 40 nationally in team hitting percentage.
This is Wolfe's sixth Player of the Week selection of his career. He was named for defensive honors after the second week of this season as well as February 10, March 10, March 24, and April 7 of 2025.
