Women's Lacrosse Picked Third in CSAC Preseason Poll

(VILLANOVA, Pa.) – The 2023 Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) preseason coaches poll for women's lacrosse has been released and Wilson has been selected to finish third. The Phoenix received 36 points in the voting process, five shy of Notre Dame (Md.) for the second spot.

Defending champion Bryn Athyn was selected to repeat as the top team in the CSAC. The Lions received six first place votes and 48 points in the voting process. The Gators received the lone remaining first place vote as part of their 41 points for second place.

Cedar Crest and Keystone complete the top five and tied for the fourth spot with 23 points each. Associate member Sweet Briar came in sixth with 18 points and Cairn completes the poll with seven points in the seventh position.

The women's lacrosse season is just around the corner and Wilson will take the field on Saturday, Feb. 25, at 1 p.m. for the season opener. The Phoenix will have some time before CSAC competition begins as they won't play an in-league opponent until Tuesday, April 4, when they take on Cairn.
