Score: Wilson 17, Elmira 6

Venue: Kris's Meadow

Records: Wilson 7-9, Elmira 0-10

How It Happened
  • Elmira opened up the scoring just 70 seconds into the game, but Wilson responded immediately as Ellisa Gamby-Mickey (Jr., Chambersburg, Pa. / Chambersburg) won the ensuing draw which lead to a Alaina Marek (Jr., Bealeton, Va. / Liberty) score just 22 seconds later. Riley Lemay (Jr., Saugerties, N.Y. / Saugerties) then put Wilson ahead on an eight-meter goal. This time the Soaring Eagles responded quickly and scored seven seconds later after winning the draw. The Phoenix then put the pedal to the metal and went on a 6-0 run so come to take control with Gamby-Mickey, Alyvnia Henneman (Jr., Mechanicsburg, Pa. / Cumberland Valley), Sadie Fike (Jr., McClure, Pa. / Mifflin County), and Paige Ney (Sr., Biglerville, Pa. / Biglerville) all scoring goals. The Eagles took advantage of a penalty to make it 8-3, but Wilson wasn't threatened as Gamby-Mickey and Finley Vandevander (So., Chambersburg, Pa. / Chambersburg) helped to make it 11-3 at halftime.
  • In the second half Fike went on a tear as she scored three of the first four goals with Henneman also adding to the lead. Gamby-Mickey and Trinity Brown (Jr., Laurel, Md. / Resevoir) added goals to help set up the final.
Inside The Numbers
  • Fike had her best game of her career with five goals and an assist for six points. She was busy defensively as well with four ground balls, four caused turnovers, and four draw controls.
  • Gamby-Mickey and Henneman both scored hat tricks. Gamby-Mickey was strong at the start as well with seven draw controls.
