CRESSON, Pa. - The Wilson College women's soccer team hit the road for a nonconference match-up against Mount Aloysius College. The Phoenix dropped a late goal to the Mounties bringing the final score to 1-0.
How It Happened: Sophomore
Jade Wolfe (Mercersburg, Pa, James Buchanan) had the first shot of the game for the Phoenix off a corner kick from
Julia Mohler (Point Of Rocks, Md., Brunswick), however, the shot was saved by the Mounties keeper. Wilson keeper
Rebecca Marakovitz (New Market, Md., Linganore) earned two saves in the first half to keep the game scoreless heading into the second half. The Phoenix would start off the second half with the first shot from
Halley Shaffer (Sunbury, Pa., Line Mountain) that went wide. The Mounties would score off a cross into the box in the 87th minute of play giving Mount Aloysius College the win with a final score of 1-0.
Inside the Box Score: Wilson had seven different people take shots against the Mounties with
Katie Riley (Mt. Airy, Md., Urbana) leading with two shots.
Rebecca Marakovitz finished the game with three saves against 11 shots.
