Lague, Winkler Lead Lacrosse All-CSAC Team

VILLANOVA, Pa. – The Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) announced its 2022 Women's Lacrosse End of Year Awards. These awards include All-CSAC (First, Second and Honorable Mention teams), All-Sportsmanship, Player, Defensive, Rookie and Coach of the Year as well as the 3-D Award.

The Phoenix landed 7 on the all-conference team, led by First-Team defender and senior Juliann Winkler (Dingmans Ferry, PA., Delaware Valley)and freshman midfielder Sage Lague (Fairplay, MD, Goretti). Reciveing Second-Team honors at attack is Michaela Singer (Annville, PA., Annville-Cleona), joined by freshman defender Erin Roszkowiak (Cinnaminson, NJ, Cinnaminson HS) and classmate midfielder Emily Young (Fairfax, VA, Chantilly HS). On the Honorable Mention squad, junior attack Paige Reynolds (Keedysville, MD, Boonsboro High School) and sophomore midfielder Kayla McHugh (Harrisburg, PA, Central Dauphin HS) grabbed honors. Junior Odessa Kalathas (Chambersburg HS, Chambersburg, PA) was named to the All-Sportsmanship Team.

Lague was the offensive catalyst for the Phoenix this season as she led the team with 43 goals and added a team high 69 draw controls. Winkler was 1st on the team and in the CSAC with 3.79 ground balls per game and she ranked 8th in the CSAC in caused turnovers with 2.21 per game. Singer was third on the team with 18 goals scored while Roszkowiak recovered 35 ground balls and caused 21 turnovers. Young was the 2nd leading goal scorer for the Phoenix with 21 and added 36 ground balls. Reynolds tallied 11 goals and added a team high 13 assists, while McHugh added 17 goals and 29 ground balls.
