Box Score 1 | Box Score 2
Mont Alto, Pa. – The Phoenix men's basketball team made history this past weekend when they competed in the Penn State Mont Alto Tip-Off Tournament, hosted by Penn State Mont Alto.  The games marked the first contests in the history of the Wilson College men's basketball program.

Davis 107, Wilson 80- The Phoenix dropped their first game of the 2014-15 season to nonconference opponent Davis College 107-80, on Saturday, November 15.

Wilson played even with Davis the first five minutes of the game until Davis strung together a nine point run eight minutes into regulation.  Even though Wilson shot a respectable 46.7 percent from the floor, seven turnovers allowed Davis to take a 20 point lead with five minutes left in the half.  Davis shot 62.9 percent (22-of-35) from the floor to take a 57-34 lead over Wilson at halftime.

Wilson played a better second half scoring 46 points, but the large deficit from the first half made it impossible for Wilson to close the gap.  Overall, Wilson struggled in the paint and 43.2 percent (32-of-74) in the game.  The Phoenix also left the three point line open as Davis hit 14 three pointers.

Sophomore Ben Holl shined on the scoreboard and finished with 26 points.  Juniors Rahim Bunch and Mylan Ward contributed in double digits with 18 and 13 points respectively.

Penn State Mont Alto 83, Wilson 51- Wilson fell to host Penn State Mont Alto in the finale of the tournament on Sunday, November 16, 83-51.

Penn State Mont Alto's tough defense limited Wilson to five defensive rebounds and a shooting percentage of 38.7 percent (12-of-31).  Penn State Mont Alto took a 41-28 lead over the Phoenix at half time.

Shooting struggles continued in the second half for the Phoenix as they were 1-for-7 (14.3 percent) from the three point line.  Penn State Mont Alto strung together several scoring runs in the half as Wilson primarily played defensively.  Penn State Mont Alto added another 42 points in the second half, as Wilson recorded 23 points.

Rahim Bunch was the only Phoenix player to end the game in double digits, scoring 23 points.  Mylan Ward added eight points.
