(HUNTINGDON, Pa.) – A challenging first half put the Wilson women's soccer team in an early hole as it battled Juniata on Wednesday evening. The Eagles kept the Phoenix's back line on their toes most of the night with constant offensive pressure. It resulted in four first half goals as the hosts went on to get the win.

How It Happened
- The Eagles put the pedal to the metal from the start with two shots in the first 2:22 of the contest. The third time was the charm for Juniata as Hailey DiPiano found the back of the net on an assist from Gracie French in the fifth minute. Wilson attempted to pull even just a few minutes later with a shot from Karen Cutler (Sr., Camp Hill, Pa. / Camp Hill) that went high.
- From there Juniata went back to the attack and scored another in the 11th minute as Abby Sweeney found McKenna Kelley. The Eagles added two more with Sydney Simpson scoring on helpers from Kylie Dries and Grace Uhler. Rachel Yabra added the final talley on an assist from Haley V Mummah in the 76th.

Wilson will now prep for conference play and will welcome Keystone to Kris's Meadow on Saturday. It will be a women's and men's doubleheader with the women's game kicking things off at 1 p.m. It will also be Senior Day for the women's team.
