(CHAMBERSBURG, Pa.) – The Wilson women's volleyball team continued its 2026 campaign by hosting McDaniel in a hard-fought three-set matchup Tuesday evening. The Phoenix battled hard before the Green Terror pulled away in the third for the sweep.

How It Happened
- Kills from Alison Daniels (Jr., Lititz, Pa. / Warwick) and Ashlynn Babbitt (So., Edenton, N.C. / John A. Holmes) at the start of the contest helped set the tone and create energy for the Blue and White. Another kill by Abby Moreland (Sr., Sabillasville, Md. / Catoctin) gave the Phoenix another early lead at 4-3 before the visitors found their rhythm and responded with seven of the next eight points. A Hannah Pollard (FY, Wilmington, N.C. / Wilmington Christian) kills and a McDaniel error kept Wilson within striking distance in the mid-game, but the Green Terror slowly pulled away from there.
- Wilson benefitted from kills by Moreland and Emiley Hughes (FY, Milford, Pa. / Delaware Valley) as well as a Babbitt ace as teams went back and forth to start the second until McDaniel took control with an 8-0 run for a 13-4 lead. A Pollard block and a Daniels kill helped gain some momentum back, but McDaniel was too far ahead and took the second set. Moreland had another kill and Pollard served an ace to square the third set up at 8-8 before the Green Terror went on a 16-0 run to help ice the game.

- Daniels led the team with seven kills on 16 attacks while hitting .250.
- Pollard maintained her 1.00 blocks per set by registering two solo stuffs and one assisted rejection.
- On the back line, Addie Hebert (Sr., Gettysburg, Pa. / Gettysburg) picked up 10 digs on the evening. She is now five shy of reaching 1,000.
- The Green Terror were led by Stephanie Buttons with 12 kills and 11 digs. Mariya Carson was right behind her with 11.

The Phoenix will head to Wilkes-Barre to take part in the King's College tri-match also involving Rutgers-Newark. The first match will be against the Scarlet Raiders at 2 p.m. before closing with the Monarchs at 4.
