(LATHAM, N.Y.) – The 2026 United East Field Hockey Preseason Poll has been released with Wilson selected tied for fourth in the eight-team field. The Phoenix tied with conference newcomer Gwynedd Mercy with 26 points in the voting process.
The rankings were voted on by all field hockey head coaches in the conference. Teams could not vote for themselves.
Defending champion St. Mary's College edged out Penn State Harrisburg for the top spot by one point. The Seahawks received 46 points and five first place votes while the Lions garnered 45 and the remaining three top picks. Immaculata took the third spot with 34 points to round out the top five.
Filling out the poll is Cedar Crest in sixth place with 18 points, Lancaster Bible in seventh with 17, and Keystone in eighth with 12.
The season will start on Tuesday, Sept. 1, as the Phoenix host Sweet Briar. It will be the first game on Kris's Meadow after the installation of artificial turf this summer.
The United East schedule gets underway as the Blue and White head north to take on long time rival Keystone on Saturday, Oct. 3.
