(LATHAM, N.Y.) – The United East announced its all-conference teams in field hockey for the 2025 season and five Phoenix have received honors.
Kate Seymour (Jr., Churchton, Md. / Southern) highlights the quintet as she was selected to the first team on offense. Joining here are
Lizzie Landon (Sr., West Grove, Pa. / Avon Grove), Lenoree Hoke (Jr., Shippensburg, Pa. / Shippensburg), Payton Kendall (Sr., McConnellsburg, Pa. / Forbes Road), and
Mikayla Petersen (FY, Glen Burnie, Md. / North County) on the second team.
Seymour was not only one of the top offensive players in the United East, but one of the best in the nation as well. She led the team with 13 goals and four assists for 30 points. Her mark of .87 goals per game ranks No. 35 nationally while her points per game average of 2.00 sits at No. 37 in Division III. She scored in seven games this year with multiple goals in four contests.
Landon was second on the team with six goals and four assists for 16 points. It was the highest offensive output in a season for her career. It included multiple goals in two games and multiple assists in one for the Phoenix.
Hoke added depth to the Phoenix attack. She was always a threat to score as she was third on the team in shot attempts which resulted in a goal and two assists. Both assists came in a close game against Elizabethtown while her goal was scored in a conference win against Lancaster Bible.
Kendall excelled all over the field. Despite being a defender, she came up and scored three goals and an assist as a key figure on penalty corners during the year. Her defensive abilities were also noticed as she was in the top 40 nationally and second in the conference with five defensive saves.
Petersen was impressive with her defensive presence in the midfield during her first season in the Blue and White. She helped control the pace of play which led to four shutouts for the Phoenix this season. In three of those games Wilson allowed fewer than five shots. In an additional three games, the Phoenix defense allowed just five attempts.
