(LONG VALLEY, N.J.) – The Wilson equestrian hunt seat season officially came to an end with captain
Kendi Long (Sr., Media, Pa.) and
Emily Breighner (Jr., Nottingham, Md.) competing in IHSA Zones on Saturday. Both had great rides, but neither finished high enough to advance to the national championships.
Breighner turned in the top placement for the Phoenix as she placed third in the intermediate equitation on the flat. For Long, she placed sixth in limit equitation on the flat.
Riders must be in the top two to advance to nationals at hunt seat zones.
Wilson will still have equestrian representation at the national championships in Western with
Julie Warnick and
Rachel Bardsley. That will take place starting on Thursday, April 30.
