(GETTYSBURG, Pa.) – There was plenty to celebrate for the Wilson equestrian hunt seat team as it had five riders qualify to compete at regionals and two qualify to compete at zones.
Emily Breighner (Jr., Nottingham, Md.) and
Kendi Long (Sr., Media, Pa.) highlighted the group as the duo that punched their ticket to zones. On top of that
Kaitlin McClain (FY) was named the reserve high point rider, her first of her collegiate career.
Breighner did so by placing fourth in the open flat while Long placed third in the flat. McClain placed second in both limit on the flat and flats.
Other top placements saw
Sarah Disney (FY, Roaring Spring, Pa.) and
Brianna Coxon (FY, Tariffville, Conn.) take first in novice,
Ally Clayton (Sr., Morgantown, Pa.) take third in intermediate,
Emily Johnson (Wellsville, Pa.) place third in open flat,
Danielle Garman (So., Dover, Pa.) take third in flat,
Heather Judge (Sr., Glenside, Pa.) take third in limit flat, and
Savanna Mackie (So., Hanover, Pa.) place third in introduction.
Zones will take place on Saturday, April 4.
