(CHAMBERSBURG, Pa.) – Ellisa Gamby-Mickey (Jr., Chambersburg, Pa. / Chambersburg) and
Paige Ney (Sr., Biglerville, Pa. / Biglerville) both scored four goals as Wilson defeated Mount Aloysius on Tuesday afternoon. The Phoenix scored 10 of their goals in the first half and blanked the Mounties in the second and fourth quarters en route to ther first win of the season.

How It Happened
- Mount Aloysius had the early momentum with three shots in the first five minutes with two going high and one hitting the post. Wilson soon after found its rhythm and hit paydirt as Sadie Fike (Jr., McClure, Pa. / Mifflin County) scored with 8:39 left to go in the first. Just over a minute later, Finley Vandevander (So., Chambersburg, Pa. / Chambersburg) scored on an assist from Alaina Marek (Jr., Bealeton, Va. / Liberty). Marek scored herself to make it 3-0 before the Mounties got on the board with 4:39 to go in the first. Ney and Gamby-Mickey made it 5-1, but Mount Aloysius got the final point of the first on a power play with six seconds left.
- Special teams soon helped the Phoenix as Fike and Alyvia Henneman (Jr., Mechanicsburg, Pa. / Cumberland Valley) scored following a Mounties card. Henneman added a second while Ney scored a pair to give Wilson a 10-2 lead at the halftime break.
- Gamby-Mickey added another power play goal on an assist from Fike to start the second half. She added an eight meter goal just over five minutes in to give Wilson a 12-2 lead. Mount Aloysius added two goals later in the quarter, but Gamby-Mickey and Ney both found the back of the net in the fourth to set up the final margin.
Inside The Numbers
- Gamby-Mickey got it done all over the field. Offensively she scored seven points on four goals and three assists. Defensively she picked up four ground balls and won six draw controls off the start.
- Fike was also busy everywhere. She scored three points on two goals and an assist, but shined defensively with ground balls, five caused turnovers, and three draw controls.
- Riley Lemay (Jr., Saugerties, N.Y. / Saugerties) was busy defensively with four caused turnovers and six ground balls.
- Kaelyn Goff (Jr., Union Bridge, Md. / Francis Scott Key) was over .500 in goal once again with five saves.
- Wilson controlled the shot count 35-18. Of those, 23 were on goal for the Phoenix compared to 18 for Cairn.
