(CHAMBERSBURG, Pa.) – The Wilson baseball team couldn't overcome a powerful McDaniel (RV) squad as it fell to the visitors in non-conference action on Tuesday. The Phoenix had the lead shortly after they posted three runs in the first, but the Green Terror tied the game in the third and took the lead one inning later.

How It Happened
- After a 1-2-3 inning to retire the Green Terror in order to start the game, Wilson was the first to light the scoreboard with three runs in the bottom of the third. Justin Clapp (Jr., Redondo Beach, Calif. / Redondo Beach / Cal State Monterey Bay) brought in the first run as he singled to left center to score Samuel Martin (Jr., Mauganville, Md. / North Hagerstown / Hagerstown C.C.). Derek Chavera (FY, Falfurrias, Texas / Falfurrias) then scored Garrett Drish (FY, Annapolis, Md. / Broadneck) and Jordan Stucki (Jr., Costa Mesa, Calif. / Costa Mesa / Greenville) hit in Clapp for a 3-0 lead.
- McDaniel answered with three runs on four hits in the third. A solo home run then gave McDaniel one inning later. A pair of three run homers in the top of the fifth helped break the game open in the fifth. Tyler O'Brien (So., Frederick, Md. / Tuscarora) hit a sacrifice fly to score Zachary Tyler (FY, Colonia, N.J. / JFK Memorial) in the sixth, but the visitors were too far ahead.
