How It Happened
- The Phoenix didn't waste anytime getting hot as they jumped out to a 5-1 lead at the start with Wolfe setting the tone on a pair of kills. A 5-0 run shortly after with kills from Wolfe and Demetrius Simmons (Sr., Mechanicsburg, Pa. / Mechanicsburg) helped make it 12-3. Back-to-back kills from Jacob McCoy (Sr., York, Pa. / Spring Grove) then put Wilson up double-digits. Cairn made a late charge, but the deficit was too much as Wes Reall Jr. (FY, Carlisle, Pa. / Big Spring) closed the frame on a kill.
- The second set appeared to favor Wilson at the start with a pair of McCoy kills sandwiched around one from Reall Jr. to make it 12-6, but the Highlanders didn't go down quietly. The visitors fought back to get within three on a couple of occasions before Wilson closed on a 7-2 run with a pair of Ryan Koontz (Jr., York Haven, Pa. / Red Land) kills down the stretch.
- Wilson jumped out to another big lead at the start with Satvik Sharma (So., Hummelstown, Pa. / Hershey) serving up a pair of aces en route to a 12-5 lead. Koontz and McCoy later teamed up for a block to make it 17-9. Cairn remained competitive and scored the next four. A Wolfe kill and a Koontz ace put Wilson serving for match point which the Phoenix eventually got on another Wolfe kill after a stingy Cairn squad scored four-straight to get within two.
Inside The Numbers
- Wolfe finished with a match-high 12 kills while hitting .423. He was solid on the receiving end as well with eight digs.

- Camden Sterner (Jr., Spring Grove, Pa. / Spring Grove) led all players with 14 digs.
- Sharma quarterbacked the offense with 32 assists. He added five digs and two blocks defensively.
