(CHAMBERSBURG, Pa.) – Wilson College Director of Athletics
Tina Hill will retire at the end of the academic year, bringing a close to an outstanding chapter in Phoenix athletics. Hill has served as the leader of the department for the past six years which has been highlighted by multiple Presidents' Cups and conference championships.
"Wilson College was fortunate six years ago when
Tina Hill accepted the invitation to lead Phoenix athletics. Her tenure has been defined by thoughtful leadership, competitive excellence, and a clear commitment to the holistic development of our student-athletes," said Wilson College President Wes Fugate. "Because of Tina's service, the Wilson student-athlete experience is stronger, our athletics program is well-positioned for the future, and her impact will be felt for years to come."
"It has been an honor to conclude my 35-year career in intercollegiate athletics at Wilson," said Hill. "Wilson embodies the best of NCAA Division III athletics and reflects the same determination, passion, and commitment to success I experienced at the six institutions across four states I was privileged to serve."
During her tenure, Wilson College was the winner of five President Cup awards. Three of them came following the 2021-22 season when the Phoenix took home the overall cup in addition to the women's and men's. One year later, Wilson won both the overall and women's cup.
Conference championships and NCAA appearances found their way back to Chambersburg under her guidance as well with field hockey crowns in 2021 and 2022, softball championships in 2022, and men's basketball titles in 2022 and 2023.
The College has partnered with Spelman Johnson in its nationwide search for a new Director of Athletics which is currently taking place. More information can be found
