(LANGHORNE, Pa.) – The Wilson women's soccer team battled Cairn to a scoreless first half, but the hosts were able to break through and pull away to victory in the second half on Saturday. It was difficult for the Phoenix to generate much momentum as the Highlanders spent most of the afternoon on the attack and peppered the Blue and White defense with 27 shots.

How It Happened
- Goalkeeper Bella Scarlato (So., Severn, Md. / Glen Burnie) had her work cut out for her as she faced a dozen shots in the first half alone. She was tested early with her first save coming in the fifth minute. Five more came through the rest of the first half as Wilson kept the Highlanders off the scoreboard.
- She added a sixth early in the second half, but Cairn eventually broke through as Paityn Smith found Paige Noble in the 60th for the first goal. Noble wasn't finished as both her and Juliana Condurso connected with Ella Quince in the 80th for an insurance goal. Quince added another for the brace seven minutes later.
