(BRYN MAWR, Pa.) – In the likely final meeting between the two programs, Wilson delivered a dominant performance against Rosemont to start off the new year with a victory. The Phoenix got off to a fast start and shot 64% (16-of-25) in the first half to inundate the Ravens.
The win also gave the Blue and White their first in conference play as they returned to United East action for the first time since December 6.

Venue: Alumnae Hall

How It Happened
- The Phoenix opened the game by making their first five shots from the field en route to a 12-3 lead in the first 3:40. Most of the damage came from Armani Jones (Sr., Chicago, Ill. / Christ The King Prep / Bryant and Stratton) who started the scoring by both teams with a jumper, added a layup coupled with an and-one free throw, and closed with a layup. While the Ravens answered that with a layup of their own, Winston Raford (Jr., Woodbridge, Va. / Forest Park) got the Phoenix back on track with a 3-pointer.
- Wilson's defense got it done two as it locked down the Ravens in the final 10 minutes of the frame. For over nine minutes down that stretch, the hosts were limited to just one basket while the Phoenix went on a 19-3 run capped by a Jaylin Davis (Hampton, Va. / Kecoughtan / Lynchburg) triple to make the score 41-13 with 44 seconds left. Rosemont added a pair of layups from there, but the Phoenix still benefitted from a 24-point advantage at the break.
- The second half saw another hot start by the Phoenix as Davis, Jalen Pierce (Sr., Richmond, Va. / Collegiate / Millersville), and Jalen Bowie (Sr., Frederick, Md. / Frederick / Shippensburg) scored the first three field goals to stretch the lead to 29. Rosemont answered with a run to cut the deficit to 22, but it didn't get any closer the rest of the way. Later in the half Cameron Rothstein-Epp (FY, Bethesda, Md. / Chevy Chase) put the Phoenix up 31 on a couple of occasions with a 3-pointer and a layup. An inside jumper by Travis Blake Jr. (FY, Baltimore, Md. / North County) later gave Wilson its largest lead at 78-44.
Inside The Numbers
- Davis led the Phoenix offense with 20 points after he went 9-for-14 overall from the field. He was excellent defensively as he pulled in eight rebounds and made four steals.

- Tobias Reese (So., Mansfield, Texas / St. Elizabeth (Del.)) made it a trio of Phoenix in double-figures with 10 points.
- Wilson shot .537 (29-of-54) for the game. It's the second-highest shooting percentage in a game this season behind only the win against Widener when the Phoenix went 36-for-63 to make .571.
