How It Happened
- While the Phoenix won the game, they had to work for it and overcome a hot start by the Falcons who scored after they won the opening draw and scored 26 seconds into the game. Alyvia Henneman (So., Mechanicsburg, Pa. / Cumberland Valley) started the push with a goal to tie the game before Maggie Greeley (FY, Lewes, Del. / Cape Henlopen) provided the go-ahead goal with 37 ticks left in the first. Finley Vandevander (FY, Chambersburg, Pa. / Chambersburg) made sure Wilson kept the momentum with a goal 21 seconds into the second. Young added back-to-back goals for a 7-3 lead before the Falcons added one to make it a three-goal game at the half.
- After Cedar Crest scored to open the third quarter, Lague took control. Her six consecutive goals started with 12:24 left in the third, capped with 9:03 to go in the fourth, and left Wilson with a 13-5 lead.
