(READING, Pa.) – The Wilson baseball team's games over spring break ended with a sweep by Albright on the road on Saturday afternoon. The Phoenix gave the Lions a battle in the opener as they fell by three while a seven-run fourth inning by the hosts doomed the Blue and White in the nightcap.
The Basics

Game 2 – Wilson 3, Albright 12

Records: Wilson 1-10, Albright 4-3
How It Happened
- The opening contest was of the seven inning variety and saw the Lions get out to a fast start with a 3-0 lead after two innings. A previously stymied Phoenix offense eventually found rhythm in the fifth inning when Samuel Martin (So., Maugansville, Md. / North Hagerstown / Hagerstown C.C.) led off with a base hit to center. After stealing second, he was able to score on a base hit by Seth Bivens (Jr., Hancock, Md. / Hancock / Hagerstown C.C.) to right. Bivens eventually scored on an infield error to make the score 3-2. That was as close as the Phoenix were able to get as Albright scored a pair of insurance runs in the bottom of the sixth.
- In Game 2, Albright was able to keep its bats hot and opened up with three runs in the first. The Lions then broke the game open with seven runs in the fourth for a 10-0 lead. Joe Nawrocki (FY, Parkton, Md. / Calvert Hall) hit an RBI single to score Martin and Ryan Torres (Sr., Baltimore, md. / Archbishop Curley) brought in Tyler O'Brien (FY, Frederick, Md. / Tuscarora) on a ground out in the seventh, but Albright was able to get those socres back. Tyler Smith (So., Crofton, Md. / Archbishop Spalding) hit in Harry Middlebrooks (So., Bel Air, Md. / Archbishop Curley) to set the final score.
