(GREENWOOD, Ind.) – More postseason honors have come in for women's and men's basketball with the announcement of the 2024-25 Academic All-District® Women's and Men's Basketball teams. Wilson has four selections total with three on the women's team and one on the men's.
For the women,
Mackenzie Caldwell-Degnon (So., Rockville, Md. / Richard Montgomery), Allie Cullison (Sr., Westminster, Md. / Winters Mill), and
Chelcie Forrester (Jr., Shippensburg, Pa. / Shippensburg / WVU Potomac State) all received recognition. On the men's side,
Jalen Pierce (Jr., Richmond, Va. / Collegiate / Millersville) was honored.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Women's and Men's Basketball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes women's basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
On the women's side, the Phoenix were tied with Gallaudet for the second-most selections in the United East. Lancaster Bible led the league with four.
For the men, Pierce was one of five student-athletes to be named and Wilson was one of four schools represented.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
