How It Happened
- The match started out for the Blue and White as a Masalyna Miller (FY, Greencastle, Pa. / Greencastle-Antrim) ace gave them an early 3-2 lead. Kills by Allyson Garcelon (Sr., Shrewsbury, Pa. / Susquehannock) and Abby Moreland (Jr., Sabillasville, Md. / Catoctin) put the Phoenix back in front at 4-3 and 5-4, respectively, before the Chargers started to hit their stride with a 4-0 run. Wilson stayed with LBC shortly, but the visitors eventually pulled away and closed the set with a 15-5 run.
- The Chargers showed their dominance even more in the second and third frames. LBC opened up a 15-2 lead in the second that it controlled throughout. Kills from Moreland and Ashlynn Babbitt (FY, Edenton, N.C. / John A. Holmes) helped the Phoenix early in the third, but an 11-0 LBC run put it out of reach.
