The Basics
Score: Wilson 0, Penn State Berks 3
Venue: Berks Turf Field
Records: Wilson 2-6-2, 0-2-0; Penn State Berks 3-5-2, 1-0-0
How It Happened
- Berks seemingly kept possession on Wilson's end of the field for the first 15 minutes of the game, generating seven corner kicks during that stretch. The Phoenix defense did well to limit shot attempts by the Nittany Lions as Madison Ebersole (So., Big Pool, Md. / Clear Springs) made two saves in the opening 10 minutes, but the hosts eventually broke through as Isabelle Wilkes scored in the 13th minute.
- Wilson started to generate some offense afterwards. Ella Schmoyer (FY, York, Pa. / West York) put the ball off the crossbar five minutes later, and Annie Smith (Jr., Hagerstown, Md. / North Hagerstown) was able to put a shot on target on a corner kick 30 seconds later. Halley Shaffer (Sr., Sunbury, Pa. / Line Mountain) and Gretchen Turner (Sr., York, Pa. / Northeastern) both had shots in the final 10 minutes of the first half, but both missed their mark.
- In the second half, Reilly Ryan (So., Frederick, Md. / Tuscarora) sent one wide left of the net in the opening moments, but Wilson was unable to build upon the momentum from there as Berks went on the attack. Once again the Nittany Lions' pressure paid off in the 66th minute as Wilkes scored her second of the day.
- A yellow card on the hosts allowed Wilson another opportunity in the 73rd minute. Breanna Oliviero (FY, Wernersville, Pa. / Conrad Weiser) took the free kick, but it went over the top of the goal. The pace of play once again shifted towards the Nittany Lions who added an insurance goal in the 86th.

- It's the third time this season she's reached double figures, and she did so on 22 shots faced.
- After today's game, Ebersole now has 72 saves on the season, fourth-most in the United East.
