How It Happened (Game 1)
-
The day started out on a positive note for the Phoenix as they pounded out five hits and scored a pair in the bottom of the first. Harry Middlebrooks (FY, Bel Air, Md. / Archbishop Curley), Jordan Daphney (Jr., Countryside, Fla. / Countryside), and Jordan McKenzie (Sr., White Plains, Md. / North Point) all hit consecutive singles to help Middlebrooks and Daphney score.

The Blue and White held the lead until Berks benefitted from a pair of errors in the top of the third. Five walks in the frame also helped the visitors as they scored five runs in total to take the lead. A sacrifice fly in the fourth and a failed pickoff attempt in the fifth allowed them to take a 7-2 lead.
-
Wilson was able to get some offense in once again in the sixth. McKenzie provided a spark with a double to right center and moved to third on a ground out before he came in on a wild pitch, but the Phoenix were unable to get any closer.

How It Happened (Game 2)
-
It was a tough start for the home team as Berks opened with a five-spot on five hits. The first run came on a double to left, and after they loaded the bases, the Nittany Lions cleared them on a triple for a 4-0 lead. The next batter also hit a three-bagger for the fifth run.
-
Berks continued the offense with runsl in the next three innings. The visitors posted another five in the sixth. Jack Pachella (So., Wayne, Pa. / Radnor) helped Wilson light up the scoreboard in the third as his fielder's choice brought in Kade Linton (So., Frederick, Md. / Tuscarora) who singled through the left side during his at-bat. Haden Hoff (Sr., Westminster, Md. / Westminster) brought in the other Phoenix run on a single through the right side that brought in Peyton Taylor (Sr., Worton, Md. / Kent County) in the seventh.
