(CHAMBERSBURG, Pa.) – Wilson remained unbeaten in Skye Division action as it swept Valley Forge in a doubleheader on Wednesday evening. The Phoenix got it done in all facets of the game with great pitching and defense while belting 10 hits in each game.

How It Happened (Game 1)
- Although Wilson won both games via mercy rule, it was Valley Forge who struck first as the visitors led of the game with a triple to left center. The Patriots were able to score as a result two batters later, but no further damage was done as two were left stranded.
- Wilson was able to respond with a pair of hits and four Valley Forge miscues in the bottom of the second. Payton Kendall (Jr., McConnellsburg, Pa. / Forbes Road) was the first benefactor as she led off the frame by reaching on an infield error. After a sacrifice bunt, Madison Briggs (So., Lock Haven, Pa. / Central Mountain) hit her in to tie the game. Briggs scored on the next play as Kiera O'Brine (FY, Dillsburg, Pa. / Northern) singled to right. The Blue and White eventually loaded the bases where Haiden Brookens (Sr., Fayetteville, Pa. / Chambersburg Magnet) singled up the middle to score O'Brine to put the score at 3-1.
- Kendall made the score 4-1 in the bottom of the third as her infield single scored Taylor Barker (Sr., Chehalis, Wash. / WF West) who led off the frame with a base hit through the left side. Four more runs followed in the fourth. Brookens opened the flood gates as she brought in Alyssa Wenger (Sr., Chambersburg, Pa. / Chambersburg) who led of with a bunt single. Brookens and Lindsey Dalenberg (FY, Niles, Mich. / Edwardsburg) then pulled off the double steal to make it 6-1. After Barker walked, Brookens scored while Barker attempted to steal second. Briggs closed the scoring with a single to left that brought in Emma-Leigh Gillingham (FY, Gettysburg, Pa. / Gettysburg).
- Wilson was able to close Game 1 in walk-off fashion. Riley Henry (Jr., Carlisle, Pa. / Carlisle) scored the game-ending run after she reached on a walk. Gillingham followed on a bunt single, but an errant throw allowed Gillinham to score.
- Rylee Piper (FY, Newville, Pa. / Big Spring) started the game and struck out three while allowing just the one run on four hits. She improved to 9-2 on the season.
How It Happened (Game 2)
- The Phoenix wasted no time getting the offense churning in Game 2 as they plated six runs in the bottom of the first. A Wenger Dalenberg double steal scored the first run, while Barker sailed a pitch over the wall in left center for a three-run homer for a 4-0 lead. Addyson Stewart (So., Felton, Del. / Lake Forest) singled down the right field line later in the inning to bring in Haley Privett (Sr., Fayetteville, Pa. / Chambersburg Magnet) and Abigail Evans (FY, Muncy, Pa. / Warrior Run).
- Solo runs followed in each of the next three frames for Wilson. Barker added another RBI as she hit in Waverly Moffett (FY, Westminster, Md. / Winter Mill) who hit an infield single. Dalenberg's base hit to center scored Ashley Stevens (Jr., Valencia, Calif. / Valencia) in the bottom of the third while Caitlin Oliviero (FY, Wernersville, Pa. / Conrad Weiser) hit in Kendall for the game's final run.
- Elena Worthington (FY, Shippensburg, Pa. / Shippensburg) went the distance in Game 2 with an incredible one-hit shutout with just one walk. She struck out three in her 5.0 innings of work to improve to 2-2 on the season.
Inside The Numbers
- The Phoenix depth was on display both games as nine different players scored runs in the opener while eight scored in the second. Hits were similar with nine different players comprising the 10 hits in Game 1 and seven in Game 2
- Barker did have one of the more productive days as she had four RBI in Game 2. She extended her hit streak to 19 games and hit her sixth home run of the season. Four of her round trips have come in the last five games, all of which have been in the last four days.
