How It Happened (Game 1)
- The Wilson Blue and White wasted no time getting the bats warm as the Phoenix opened the game with four consecutive hits. Alyssa Wenger (Sr., Chambersburg, Pa. / Chambersburg) led off with a double to left and eventually scored on a single to right by Haiden Brookens (Sr., Fayetteville, Pa. / Chambersburg Magnet). Waverly Moffett (FY, Westminster, Md. / Winters Mill) lined one up the idle to bring in Brookens and Lindsey Dalenberg (FY, Niles, Mich. / Edwardsburg) for a 3-0 lead. Payton Kendall (Jr., McConnellsburg, Pa. / Forbes Road) and Madison Heuer (Jr., Greencastle, Pa. / Boonsboro) both hit RBI singles later to make it 5-0.
- The Phoenix were only getting started as Wenger tripled her second time at the plate in the first inning to score Heuer and Kiera O'Brine (FY, Dillsburg, Pa. / Northern) for an 8-0 lead. Dalenberg then hit in Wenger on a fielder's choice and Brookens singled to center to score Dalenberg to cap a 10-run first inning.
- The Nittany Lions caught some momentum and broke through on the scoreboard in the top of the third. The highlight for Hazleton came on a double to left center to plate a pair of runs. The Phoenix were able to get them both back in the bottom of the inning as Abigail Evans (FY, Muncy, Pa. / Warrior Run) hit in Brookens and Kendall drove in Moffett to set up the final score.
How It Happened (Game 2)
- The visitors got the upper hand on the Phoenix to start the nightcap, but Wilson was able to eventually right the ship. Hazleton initially took the early lead with two runs on three hits in the top of the first. Dalenberg helped the Phoenix to answer by scoring on a Madison Briggs (So., Lock Haven, Pa. / Central Mountain) RBI groundout.
- After the Nittany Lions added another in the second, Wilson surged ahead with a four-spot in the bottom half. Moffett scored the first on an error before Dalenberg tied the game by driving in Riley Henry (Jr., Carlisle, Pa. / Carlisle) on a base hit to left center. Briggs singled in Jenna Dwyer (FY, Bel Air, Md. / C. Milton Wright) for the lead and Ashley Stevens (Jr., Valencia, Calif. / Valencia) drove in Emma-Leigh Gillingham (FY, Gettysburg, Pa. / Gettysburg) for a 5-3 lead.
- Hazleton was able to bring around another pair in the third, but Wilson extinguished any hopes for an upset with another 10-run frame in the bottom of the third. All of them came with two outs as Addyson Stewart (So., Felton, Del. / Lake Forest), Briggs, Haley Privett (Sr., Fayetteville, Pa. / Chambersburg Magnet), Stevens, Kendall, and Dalenberg all drove in runs. Dalenberg highlighted and capped the scoring with a bases loaded triple.
- Wilson added another three more to set up the final score in the fourth. Taylor Barker (Sr., Chehalis, Wash. / WF West) started the rally with a single through the left side and eventually made it all the way around on a Moffett base hit. Kendall equaled the result with a single up the middle to score Brookens and Heuer drove in Moffett.
