How It Happened
- It was back-and forth at the start with the Ravens taking the first lead with a run in the first. Wilson had to wait until the third for its first run, but was able to get a pair to take the lead. Andre led off with a double and eventually scored on an error as Haden Hoff (Sr., Westminster, Md. / Westminster) stole second after reaching on a separate error. Hoff later scored on a single by Jordan McKenzie (Sr., White Plains, Md. / North Point).
- Rosemont was able to regain the lead with a two-RBI double in the bottom of the third. The hosts put pressures on the Blue and White once again after loading the bases one inning later. A hit batter, a wild pitch, and interference at home plate allowed four runs to score as a result.
- After teams added a run, the Phoenix started their second big comeback in as many games with a four-spot in the seventh. After Justin Fleig (Sr., Harrisburg, Pa. / Central Dauphin) singled to start the frame, Andre homered to make the score 8-5. Three batters later Jordan Daphney (Jr., Countryside, Fla. / Countryside) hit a sac fly to score Hoff who singled after Andre's plate appearance. After a walk, Kade Linton (So., Frederick, Md. / Tuscarora) cut the deficit to one on a single that allowed McKenzie to score.
- Andre came back up in the eighth and promptly tied the game with his second dinger of the day. The Phoenix eventually loaded the bases on a base hit, a walk, and a hit batter before Daphney brought in Hoff on a second sacrifice fly.
- Rosemont threatened to tie the game in both the eighth and ninth innings, but Emilio Rodriguez (So., Batlimore, Md. / Archbishop Curley) got the Ravens to ground into a double play before another runner was caught trying to steal home in the eighth. In the ninth Rosemont once again got a runner into scoring position before Rodriguez got the final two outs on a pop up to the catcher and a strikeout.
