(CHAMBERSBURG, Pa.) – The Wilson men's basketball team snapped a four-game losing streak with an impressive win against Bryn Athyn College on Sunday afternoon. The Pheonix were lifted to a 13-point victory thanks to
Gary Robertson's (Sr., Washington D.C. / Potomac / Bryant & Stratton) hot hand as he dropped a career-high 30 points on the day.

How It Happened:
- Both teams battled in the first five minutes of the first half until a Darryl Garib (Sr., Dallas, Tx., Forest Park) knocked down a mid-range jumper to begin a 14-4 run that allowed the Pheonix to take control of both the pace of play and the game. As the game reached an 11-point difference in the favor for the Pheonix, the Lions clawed their way back by going on an 8-0 run to bring the game back within two points at 23-21 with 6:56 to go in the half. The Phoenix sent the game to the half with an eight-point lead thanks to a pair of Darren Green (Jr., Silver Spring, Md. / Springbrook) jumpers in the final 1:13 of the frame.
- Ibraheem Bundu (Sr., Bowie, Md. / Largo / CCBC Dundalk) opened the second half with a layup that started the trading of made buckets with the Lions as they fought to keep the game close. Despite keeping the game within six points, an Ethan Wilson (Jr,. Manassas, Va. / Osbourn Park / Howard C.C.) 3-pointer put Wilson sparked a lightning a barrage of made buckets that grew the lead to a game-high of 20 points and made the score 67-47 with 7:59 to go in the game.
- Will Little picked up five more points late in the second half to grow his game total and keep the Lions within nine points before the Wilson defense came back to life forcing turnovers, missed shots, and multiple rebounds leading to points that put the Pheonix in position to give Bryn Athyn its first conference loss while providing Wilson their first home win of the season.
Inside The Numbers :
- Robertson notched a career-high in points with 30 as well as a season high in field goal percentage (73%) thanks to going 4-4 behind the arch. Overall he was 11-for-15 on the day.
- Garib and Ethan Wilson both reached double figures as Garib scored 21 points and Wilson tallied 10 points off the bench.
- Little would wind up being the highlight for the Lions as he recorded 21 points. Other notable Lions were Jalen jackson who recorded 15 points and Jalen Parker who recorded a team high of seven rebounds.
- Overall the Phoenix had their best day shooting from the field this season as they hit 53.8% (28-of-52) this season. The previous best was during an overtime win at Valley Forge where the Blue and White made 53.1% after they made 26-of-49.
- The 3-point field goal percentage matched a season best after Wilson made 7-of-15 on the day. The Phoenix also shot 46.7% in a win at Mary Baldwin where they doubled those numbers with 14 treys.
